Welcome to the Experimental Linguistics Lab
The Experimental Linguistics Laboratory (ELL) at the University of Agder in Kristiansand opened in 2017. Financed by the faculty of humanities and pedagogy, Professor Allison Wetterlin began setting the lab up in 2016, and was joined in 2017 by Professor Linda Wheeldon. The ELL is equipped to conduct research using eye-tracking, EEG and behavioural methodologies.
In addition to being a physical location, ELL is also the name of the associated research group formed in 2018 and headed by Linda Wheeldon. The group investigates bilingual language processing, focusing in particular on issues relating to the production and perception of English as a second language. The research group includes UiA internal and external collaborative projects, as well as PhD and Master students.
Here you will find information about who we are and what we do, as well as opportunities to participate in our research.
